4. Meeting Cliff Ravenscraft @gspn
As I have previously written, being part of the GSPN community has been very important in my life. I have been a Plus Member for over two years now and have developed some great friendships with other community members. Much like SQPN, Cliff has created an amazing community around his content.
Cliff is an important person in my life and in the lives of everyone he reaches with his content. I have known him for over two years now (I became a Plus Member in May of 2008) and have developed a great friendship with him via social media and the online community. He began the network in 2005 and began doing it as his full-time career at the beginning of 2008. In addition to recording at least eight shows a week (more so during TV season) he does podcast consulting and sells equipment.
Last summer I reviewed all the podcasts I listen to (which is now an even bigger list and has revised somewhat). One of those posts was about the GSPN shows and can be found here. Although some shows have changed, the information is still pretty accurate.
I secured my plane tickets and registered for the CNMC before I even knew that Cliff would be in attendance. Months ago I heard him talk to Fr. Roderick on the Biggest Loser Podcast about possibly wanting to go, but his plans did not finalize until very recently. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when those two meet because it’s going to be great! I am very much looking forward to meeting Cliff (as well as so many others) and hearing him talk about this hobby that turned into his career and passion. You can’t help but be inspired by him.
