061 – From Darkness to Light – My Vocation Story

by admin on June 15, 2013

Hello and welcome to another episode of From Darkness to Light a podcast about healing, accepting love and learning to live life to the full.

If you have just started listening to the show, welcome! If you are tuning in for the first time or just started listening, please check out the past episodes to hear my story from the beginning at the website.

– Topic is inspired by one of my friends who is preparing to enter a cloistered monastery

– I have also been seeking direction about my vocation

– Growing up I considered being a nun

– The first few years of my relationship I didn’t know yet if it was right

– Started counseling and things started to change

– “Gone were the dark days that had me so confused” (reference to this song by Point of Grace)

– Better understanding my true vocation

– I’m not being called to the cloistered life and that’s okay because my friend is

– Everyone has a different vocation that they have to discover through discernment

– Letting go of many negative things in my life in order to prepare myself for my vocation

– Could not have made it without God pushing and guiding me along the way
